We provide litigation-free Divorce options.
It is a method of practicing law in which the lawyers for both sides agree to
assist the clients by using cooperative techniques rather than adversarial
strategies and litigation. Often, a team approach is employed using a divorce
emotional aspects that may interfere or block settlement.  The Team commits
themselves to achieving a negotiated outcome. It is agreed that no litigation will
be commenced during the negotiations.

When parties are committed to settlement, and the litigation option is removed,
creativity and flexibility becomes the norm.  The parties and their lawyers enter
into a “Participation Agreement” where it is agreed that if a settlement is not
reached, the lawyers will withdraw from the process and not participate in the
ensuing litigation.

A collaborative case is less expensive than a court litigated case.  A traditional
court case includes: motions, discovery, hearings, trial and post-trial issues.  A
lot of billable time goes into preparing for these litigated matters, including the
telephone calls, email and time you’ll spend talking with your lawyer about the
plan, strategy, etc.   There is also the emotional costs on both you and your
family spent thinking about or being upset about the litigation.  Whereas, the
collaborative process has proven to be a value-added process, especially when
using the team approach.

With a collaborative divorce lawyer it is easier to reach an agreement knowing
that your best interest is represented. Each side has a lawyer backing them,
and at the same time knowing that everyone is working towards one common
goal-divorce.
