Family transitions are deeply personal. They affect your family, your finances, your future, and most important, your peace of mind. My role is to guide families through those transitions with clarity, fairness, and respect — without adding unnecessary conflict to an already emotional process.
My background in psychology helps me understand the emotional dynamics of divorce and uncoupling. My courtroom experience ensures I understand what happens if cases go to trial. That combination allows me to help families reach agreements that are practical, durable, and tailored to their unique needs.
I am a Florida Supreme Court Certified Family Law Mediator and founder of The Law Office of Tricia Fradley, serving families throughout Florida.
I began my legal career as a prosecutor, serving as an Assistant State Attorney from 1998 to 2006. That experience gave me invaluable courtroom experience, strong litigation skills, and a deep understanding of how the legal system works under pressure.
In 2006, I opened my own law practice as a traditional family law attorney. I represented clients in divorce, custody, and other family matters, litigated when necessary.
While I was advocating for my clients it became apparent that the adversarial process was often tearing families apart even more. Litigation can intensify emotions, drain financial resources, and create long-term damage to co-parenting relationships.
By 2011, I made a deliberate decision: I stopped litigating, believing there had to be a better way to help families move forward without escalating conflict.
When I transitioned away from litigation, I planned to only mediate cases for parties, with or without legal representation, who simply needed a neutral experienced person to help resolve specific disputes.
But something unexpected happened. I began receiving calls from individuals who thought they were looking for a mediator — yet they had virtually nothing to mediate. They weren’t fighting. They weren’t actively in dispute. They simply did not know how to properly and legally dissolve their marriage while protecting themselves and their children.
Guidance. Structure. Protection.
A process that didn’t turn into a battle.
And kept costs to a minimum.
